Could You Survive a Horror Movie?

Four friends rent a cabin by a lake for the weekend. The owner left a note on the fridge that says "Please do not open the cellar." Nobody has read it yet.

The quiz drops you into small horror moments like this one, such as a dead phone, a locked door or a stranger's warning. Fear makes you act before you think, so your quick picks show your real instincts. Here is how one night might go.

The lights go out

At ten, the power cuts. The First Victim says "it's probably the fuse box" and heads off alone with a phone torch, humming. The Comic Relief makes a ghost noise in the dark and gets a big laugh, then a smaller one when the floor creaks. The Paranoid Skeptic has already found the note on the fridge and is reading it out loud to anyone who will listen. The Final Survivor counts heads, finds the real torch in a drawer and keeps their back to the wall.

The thump under the floor

Something heavy hits the cellar door from below. The First Victim opens it, because what if a cat got stuck down there? The Comic Relief does not want to look scared, so they follow with a joke about haunted wine. The Paranoid Skeptic says "we should not split up," and is right, and nobody listens. The Final Survivor sees that the car keys are gone from the hook and starts to plan a way out without telling anyone yet.

Sunrise, for some of them

You can guess the rest. The friend who trusted the dark is gone before midnight. The joker lasts much longer than anyone expected, saved by luck and quick hands. The skeptic makes it to dawn, worn out from saying "I told you so" all night. The quiet one who kept watching the exits walks up to the road as the sun comes over the trees.

In real life, trusting people and making them laugh are good things, so do not read too much into a result. It is a fun mirror, not a diagnosis. Still, try this at your next movie night. Notice the exact moment you start shouting at the screen, and what you shout. "Don't go down there" and "why is nobody checking the car?" are two very different instincts.

Make your choices below and find out who you would be when the lights cut out.
